Spot The Not…
Tuesday 23rd of January 2007
In millions of the yellow Simpsons characters gathered here in the annual gathering, there is one who does not belong in here. Can you spot it?

The picture is as usual! (Click for bigger pic)
1 Muharram…
Saturday 20th of January 2007
I know that we all know the story of Hijrah, we read, and reread it again and again, we’ve been told about it again and again, but yet, I still want to post about it. I think we need to remind ourselves about this important point of history in Islam. In this post, I don’t intend to tell the story of Hijrah, but I’ll provide pictures only, with the help from Google Earth.
Firstly, the distance from Mecca to Yathrib(Medina) is about 350 km. Took about 20 days if by walking.

Let us look at Mecca. (Thumbnail view)

Now let us look at Medina. Our Prophet arrive at Quba’ first, then proceed to Medina.

And this is Masjidil Al-Nabawi.

So that is basically a snip of the journey made a long time ago. Today, with the help of technology, we can see it from a whole new point of view. This way, I think we can more appreciate the perjuangan made by our Prophet. Next time, I’ll show you Masjid al-Nabawi, Masjid al-Quba’ and Masjid al-Haram from up close. Probably Masjid al-Aqsa too. As usual, click the pictures for bigger pictures. (I need to find a better free image hosting. Do you know one?)
Global Warming is Real…
Thursday 18th of January 2007

The ice is melting in Greenland. Greenland is full of ice, while Iceland is not. Weird. Anyway, the effect of global warming can be devastating that could lead to world destruction! (You do realize what this means, right?)
